Environmental Protection in Ghana..

March 21, 2016

My name is Catherine and I am studying International Development and Globalization at University of Ottawa. As my studies are coming to an end, I am more than thrilled to participate in this 3 month internship in Ghana to give a real hands on, applicable experience to complete my academic knowledge. My position will be Environmental Sustainability Officer and will consist of working with the local organization A ROCHA GHANA, to help protect the local rainforest and engage the local community, especially youth in nature conservation. Mainly, I hope to build knowledge and truly learn from my colleagues and I hope to go through this experience with an open mind. As the departure date is only a few weeks away, I have been preparing myself and trying to learn the local language and absorbing as much information as possible. At the end of the day, the most important is to smile and stay positive, and remember, you can amount to anything you set your mind to. So the journey begins..

Hey Catherine. Nyanquoi here. I just realized from your blog that we are going to work with the same NGO in Ghana. Also of interest is the fact that we will have the same responsibilities in Ghana. Let’s keep in touch if possible.
