Pre-Departure: Dreaming of Ghana

April 1, 2016

I am Kellan Shields and I am a 3rd year student in the ID Degree program at Humber Lakeshore. Ever since I found out about Humber’s program I’ve dreamed of travelling internationally for my placement. Naively most of this passion was driven by my desire to travel, I wanted to go to the most exotic location most outside my comfort zone.

Luckily, over the past couple years I have dreamed less of the exotic locations, and more toward the field of my choice, which is Environmental Sustainability.

I am so pleased to be able to join the SWB team for this placement and to join TRIAS as a Project Officer in Bolgatanga. I am so excited to join you all for the training and I eagerly look forward to this experience.
