New Opportunities at Undercurrent

September 13, 2006

We are pleased to announce the opening of new volunteer positions on the staff of Undercurrent: the Canadian Undergraduate Journal of Development Studies (www.undercurrentjournal.ca). This online publication is a Canadian undergraduate initiative that employs the volunteer assistance of more than two dozen students and faculty from diverse academic disciplines, hailing from universities across the country. The journal is a refereed publication dedicated to providing a non-partisan, supportive, yet critical and competitive forum exclusively for undergraduate research, writing, and editing.

As Undercurrent staff, successful applicants will gain experience in the process of peer-review and have the opportunity to learn about, and contribute to, the functioning of a refereed academic journal.

Applications are currently being accepted for:
· Editors
· Associate Editors
· Webmaster

The responsibilities of each position, criteria for selection, and application procedures can be found on the journal’s website at www.undercurrentjournal.ca/vacancies.html for complete information.

Please note that bilingual (French and English-speaking) students, with an ability to read and write at an academic level in both languages are especially encouraged to apply, and will be given priority in the journal’s consideration of qualified applicants.
